Flirty Asymmetrical Flannel Skirt
Hello hunnies! Here is something new I haven't really posted about. It's a HOW TO sort of blog. What makes this so perfect is that I know all of you have a button up at home in your wardrobe just dying to be worn or styled.
This is a trend I have seen lately rolling around in stores and in streetfashion but usually it is always a garment that is already made or assembled for you. Where all you have to do is slip on the dress and you're ready. Well, I am here to say, you can probably just style it yourself and spend that hard earned dough on something else. Like food. Food is great.
In this series, I chose to layer the flannel over a fitted lbd to sass things up to a rather minimalist and classic look. Typically, this works best over something fitted to create some dimension while keeping away from anything too messy.
Let's get to it. Here are some easy steps to achieve this look. It's so easy!
1. Don't line up the buttons as you're buttoning up. It'll create the asymmetrical look. Unless what you want is symmetrical in which case, do you boo .
2. Pull the sleeves to the side to decrease any wrinkles or lines and wrap around your waist.
3. Tighten to your desired fit.
4. Knot your sleeves to hold in place. Note, you can knot or tie a bow. I opted for the knot to add some edge and my sleeves weren't long enough for the bow. Haha.
5. Relax and rule your runway babe. Just make sure your new button up skirt is flowing and it's smoothed out.
I hope you all enjoyed this week's post. Let me know what you would like to see next in the comment section below or tag me on your instagram showing me your style using #stylemyescape or just tag me in your photos.
Till next time.
