Layered Chokers and Everything
Now that spring has officially arrived, I cannot help but notice that I am one of the rare few to have loved the autumn and winter seasons. They are absolutely my favorites!
For most, these seasons bring upon sweaters, boots, and heavy puffer jackets but I am here to encourage the wonderful gift of layering. Not only does this transition your spring and summer attire but adds a cute twist on your wardrobe staples. I mean, I love Star Wars but it becomes mundane when you start to see Luke Skywalkers absolutely EVERYWHERE.
In this post, I am honored to be styled and photographed by my dear friend, Amir Oliveros from LUXE Studio. We were inspired to do a spontaneous snow day photoshoot and upon reaching her house, we could not pass up another impromptu shoot. So she went through her closet and pulled a few pieces that would fit me. Funny story, it does not look like it, but the heels are two sizes two big. Props to her photography skills. Truly a powerhouse and I am so lucky to have her as a friend.
Now, onto the styling! To turn that summer dress into a winter ensemble, layer with a sweater or a turtle neck. If your choice is a sweater, play with a thin belt at the waist to keep your shape while you cozy up next to the fire. I layered a few chokers for an added pop as opposed to a scarf. To finish off the look, we played with a pink socks - which you now see is a color trend for the year under some neutral block heels to add a touch of spring.
Side note - Amir also styled my hair! What a nice change from always being down right? SHHH. She also just recently balayaged my hair which you can check out on my Instagram!
